XS Power batteries design allows for extreme amounts of discharge current, as well as super fast recovery and recharge rates. XS Power batteries are ideal when you want to add that extra boost for your stereo without having to upgrade the entire electrical systems.

Don't let the small size and weight of XS Power batteries fool you. The cranking power of XS Power Batteries can be two to three times the power of a flooded battery of equal size. Take for example the XS Power Battery Part Number S925. It will often out perform and last longer than the bigger battery that comes original equipment on a new car.

This makes XS Power the ideal battery for race cars, street rods, and daily drivers.
Since there are no external vents on an XS Power battery, there is no fear of mounting it in a passenger compartment, below a seat, or inside a glove box. No leaks mean no corrosion or damage to chrome or paint. We are so confident in the safety of XS Power batteries that we guarantee no acid leak even if damaged.

Rigorously tested to withstand insane amounts of vibration allows XS Power batteries to be installed inside the harsh environments of the trunk or hatch areas where sound vibrations can ruin the average battery.

The perfectly sealed design of the XS Power AGM Batteries allows safe, maintenance free operation, allowing them to be used in nearly any position without sacrificing life expectancy or performance. This means there is no need to constantly check and refill the electrolyte and no more corroded terminals to clean!

XS Power Batteries are perfect for show cars or situations where the batteries are left unused over a long period of time. A fully charged XS Power battery can sit for up to a year at room temperature and still have the power to produce when you're ready.

Audio Batteries:
The new XS Power Cell, is a non-spillable AGM lead-acid battery design. AGM, or Absorbed Glass Mat is a new technology where the electrolyte is suspended in an absorbant fiberglass material, eliminating the need to ‘flood’ the battery with water.
This unique design of an AGM enables it to be spillproof, and vibration resistant while having ultra low internal resistance.
Able to be mounted in any position*, the XS Power Deep Cycle features a rugged case molded of ABS plastic, which makes it the leader in performance applications for any type of racing, car audio DB competition, motorcycle, and marine.

Why do XS Power Batteries cost more than Flooded Batteries?

1) XS Power batteries are manufactured using only virgin lead, 99.99% pure compared to most batteries that use
   recycled lead. The pure-lead design means better performance. In other words, MORE POWER!

2) Grids are thinner. This allows for more grids which means more surface area in a smaller package. More
   surface area means MORE POWER!

3) AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) design means longer life, vibration resistant, deep cycle & can be mounted in any
   position (except upside down).

Why do XS Power 12 Volt batteries come with a metal case?

To protect the plastic case. XS Power batteries are under higher pressure than flooded batteries. The metal case will protect the battery from swelling. Please note, posts are not included in the AGM Audio batterys.

ALTERNATORS
Powermaster is continuously designing products that offer optimal performance for specific applications. We now offer an alternator with a combination of features that are specifically tailored for SPL competition. These units offer 300/350 amps of output and the XS VOLT digital voltage control system with up to three dash or podium switchable presets.

DIGITAL CONTROL: XS VOLT’s DIGITAL control system utilizes actual digital circuits along with MOSFET and PWM technologies to create the fastest voltage and load response time available in the market. Most alternator designs require an entire volt drop and up to 10 seconds of delay time before they will respond to an increasing amp load. This can result in typical alternators ignoring short bass notes or not maximizing output at SPL competitions. XS VOLT responds almost instantaneously (about 100 milliseconds) to increasing loads. When viewed on a computer dyno, the units appear to almost predict an oncoming load.
ADJUSTABLE VOLTAGE: XS VOLT offers an adjustable voltage set point. By turning a potentiometer on the back of the unit, voltage can be adjusted within a rated range of 13.5 and 18.5 volts. This adjustment sets the voltage goal of the alternator and, in most cases, the upper voltage limit of the electrical systems. XS VOLT alternators can be adjusted to optimize amplifier voltage and/or properly charge 16-volt batteries.
REMOTELY SWITCHABLE VOLTAGE PRESETS: XS VOLT units can be configured to offer up to three dashboard or podium switchable presets. By applying (-) ground to a lead on an optional plug/harness (P/N 127), the voltage level will step down 1.25 volts from where the unit’s potentiometer is set. By applying (+) voltage to another lead, the voltage level will move to 14.5 volts. With additional components XS VOLT units can be setup to charge a vehicle’s 12-volt system in primary mode and then, when needed, step voltage up and switch the charge over to a 16-volt battery bank in a secondary mode for competition.

ALL INTERNAL COMPONENTS: With XS VOLT, all components are internal. This means there is no external regulator to deal with. The only advantage of an external regulator is that it moves sensitive electronics away from the heat generated by the alternator. The XS VOLT regulator utilizes a massive red anodized heat sink that extends through the alternator’s rear housing to cool the internal electronics, so heat is not a problem.
ONE WIRE OPERATION: When custom mounting an XS VOLT alternator, wiring is easy. Simply connect a 1/0 charge wire from the alternator’s 5/16” diameter gold output terminal to the positive battery post. No other wiring connections are required. The unit will turn itself on when the engine is started, and off when the engine is turned off. A 1/0 ground from the alternator to the battery is recommended.
300/350 AMP OUTPUT: Powermaster’s SPL alternators utilize special custom wound stators and our own rotor design, in conjunction with the XS VOLT’s capabilities, to create the ultimate car audio alternator. Units typically produce 300 amps at 2000 engine RPMs when used with a 12-volt system and 350 amps when used with 16-volt systems. The SPL alternators are specifically designed for trailer only extreme competition vehicles. Because of the radical design, output at idle is usually 0 and because of additional heat created; these units should not be operated at full output for more than a few minutes. In some cases, SPL units can be custom installed as a second alternator to the original unit for street applications. However, caution must be taken that only short-term loads are sent to the SPL alternator.
